The Moai are a fascinating subject to me. The reasoning behind the placing of these ancient monoliths is a mystery I enjoy speculating often. Our cultures and civilizations are so intertwined and connected, we have a duty to study the past and treat it with respect.
As an artist, employing a variety of textures and media, through my work I strive to convey the following: Regardless of our culture, and from what civilizations our ancestors arose, we are stewards of great wonders which have inspired countless generations searching for beauty in a tumultuous world.
